'Ghost Protocol' nabs $6.4 mil at B.O.

'Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol'Paramount maintained its holiday B.O. lead, as "Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol" collected Thursday $6.4 million, getting the pic's Stateside cume to $32.4 million.Worldwide, "Mission" has cumed $96 million through Wednesday.Warner Bros.' "A Virtual Detective: A Game Title of Shadows" increased Thursday, up 7%, with $4.8 million, for any Stateside tally of $58.8 million.Meanwhile, Sony's "The Lady Using the Dragon Tattoo" totalled on Thursday $3.3 million, lower slightly from Wednesday's opening-day tally of $3.six million, though "Tattoo" had one more $500,000 in night time grosses on that day.To date, "Dragon Tattoo" has collected $8.4 million locally.Par's "The Adventures of Tintin" -- the holiday's third wide midweek opener -- collected $2.4 million Thursday, that is up just slightly in the toon's $2.3 million opening-day gross. That's likely a direct result more kids from school -- a boon also for Fox's "Alvin and also the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked," which gained almost $4 million, up 13% over Wednesday. (Roughly 81% of K-12 students take presctiption vacation beginning today.)As a whole, "Tintin" has collected $8 million locally "Alvin," $36.9 million.
